Melissa Gill has always had a keen interest in anti-ageing products. As a child she would read women’s magazines religiously, searching out references to techniques and products that would arrest the aging process.

Now in her thirties, Melissa’s contemporaries are beginning to share her interest, and a year ago she decided it was time to start moving her search to the next level. Melissa formed His and Her Anti Ageing, a company dedicated to bringing the best anti-ageing products in the world to New Zealand.

I caught up with Melissa to see how this was progressing.

Melissa told me that after months of searching, she sourced an anti-ageing cream from Europe that was said to be the best on the market. She tested the cream, with favourable results. But the parabens and botox it contained left her feeling uneasy about possible side effects. While the scientific community has yet to reach a consensus as to whether or not the use of these is dangerous, Melissa thought ‘Why take the risk?’

Instead, she decided to create a product that would be natural, safe and just as effective. After extensive research and collaboration with leading phytochemists and medical professionals, His and Her Anti Ageing created what it considers to be the finest range of skincare products available in New Zealand.

And it didn’t just stop at skin cream. His and Hers developed 35 new products, including a range of cleansers, toners, moisturisers, masks, exfoliators and serums – many of which work together to give a holistic skin treatment that reduces the signs of aging within three months.

These products have been broadly tested, but it wasn’t until Melissa saw the results for herself that she knew she was onto a winner. It really did work. Facial lines and wrinkles decreased by 30%. Sun spots were noticeably diminished. And skin looked firmer, smoother and healthier. Best of all, this was achieved without the use of toxic chemicals, making it safe for everyone to use – even those with eczema, acne or sensitive skin.

So why the name His and Hers, I asked Melissa? Isn’t skincare just for women?

I have been using these since the day I purchased them… okay, I have used many products with limited “success”… your products are the best I have found! There are saggy spots that have “lifted” I thought for sure I would need surgery… wrinkles that have clearly diminished, some have disappeared all together… and I have only been using your set for two weeks! I just wanted to let you know I am so amazed at what your “men’s” AHA serum has done for my skin, I am a 25 year old female, and I came to see you with a chin that liked to grow BIG pimples.
